Brazil is the seventh-largest ICT sector in the world; the fifth-largest online market and the fourth-largest mobile phones market.

Smartphones users doubled from 9% in 2011 to 18% in 2012 and the country is projected to become the fifth smartphone market in the world, ahead of India and behind only the U.S., China, UK and Japan.

Brazilians own over 227 million phones. Broadband subscriptions are up at record levels and Brazilians are increasingly accessing the internet through their phones or tablets.

The country is the number one app developer in Latin America thanks to the mobile fever and a nationwide entrepreneurship’s boom.

What are the industry trends in this fascinating yet complex market?

How the mobile fever is fueling Brazil’s 20% annual growth in e-commerce?
