Danielle Levitas is the Group Vice President of IDC's Consumer, Broadband & Digital Marketplace team. She is responsible for driving research initiatives across the consumer market, covering audio, video, gaming, home networking, bundled services, broadband and the digital marketplace. In addition to researching the digital TV, DVD and new media markets, Ms. Levitas serves as IDC’s consumer markets expert and conducts custom consulting on a variety of consumer market issues. She is a driven professional with a strong commitment to customer service, advising her clients on a variety of industry trends and developments. 

In 2001, Ms. Levitas launched IDC's Interactive Consumer Services programs, expanding IDC's coverage in gaming and TV research. In 2004, she expanded IDC’s consumer research products to create dedicated programs for the home networking and audio markets and helped launch IDC’s regional consumer research programs. In 2006, Ms. Levitas helped launch the industry's first advanced bundled services program – Consumer Multiplay Services. Also in that year, Danielle developed IDC's consumer Internet research strategy and launched the innovative Digital Marketplace programs in 2007. She is now launching IDC's ConsumerScape 360º program, which is a multi-country, survey-based program profiling consumers and households across the globe, examining ownership, preferences, behaviors and spending to assist clients in identifying and delivering compelling solutions to the market.

Prior to joining IDC's Consumer Device and Technologies service in 2000, she was a research manager for IDC's storage service, responsible for conducting research on the worldwide storage market. She has been widely quoted in the press, including in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the San Jose Mercury News, the San Francisco Chronicle, CNET, and other media outlets. Ms. Levitas has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst
