Robbie Melton, Associate Vice Chancellor for mLearning, Tennessee Board of Regents, oversees the system’s initiatives for strategic mobilization educational use of mobile devices. She has acquired a new distinction as the world’s first “app-ologist”—a reference to her study of the pedagogy of mobilization and her creation of an education mobile app resource center: PreK-Ph.D.; aligned to 125 disciplines. A nationally and internationally recognized authority on the transformation of education with mobile technology, Melton was recently selected as an Apple Distinguished Educators and one of the Top 50 Innovators in Education for 2012 by the Center for Digital Education-Converge.
