John Absmeier is the Director for Delphi’s innovation center in Silicon Valley. In this role, he is responsible for establishing and running Delphi’s technical center where high-tech meets automotive. Most recently, John was Business Director, Electronic Controls Asia-Pacific where he was responsible for leading growth and execution of Delphi’s Safety, Body & Security and Electrification product lines in Asia. He has served in various roles in engineering and management with responsibilities in important technology areas developing hybrid and electric vehicles, fuel cell systems, automated vehicles and telematics. Absmeier has over 15 years’ experience in connectivity, safety, and alternative energy applications.Absmeier holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of California Berkeley, a Master in Management of Technology from Haas School of Business at University of California Berkeley, and attended the University of Michigan, Stephen M. Ross School of Business Senior Executive Program – Asia.
