Dr. Michael Blum is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Informatics and a Professor of Medicine in Cardiology at the University of California, San Francisco, responsible for the strategic design and implementation of enterprise clinical and research applications across UCSF. Trained as an engineer, he applies expertise in technology to health care as UCSF’s Chief Medical Information Officer. He is currently working to leverage UCSF’s EHR platform to improve clinical effectiveness, safety, and quality of care. Dr. Blum also directs of the UCSF Center for Digital Health Innovation which develops and evaluates novel devices and apps in pursuit of Precision Medicine.
